Emmys
Best dressed?
I know that leighton meester copped ALOT of flack for wearing that dress - the first critic i heard said she'd pinned socks onto her shoulders..??? but what else is it but experimental?
rose byrne, biased i know, but she just doesnt do wrong - always stylish, elegant, with alabaster skin and such plain, effortless hair. who else but her could pull that off?
chloe sevigny - all good ... except the photo taken standing in the sun
mila kunis - what's there to say?

Sarah Rutson: Scarf Extraordinaire
As an Australian, our climate doesn't really allow for too much scarf wearing. When wearing scarves, the fine line between douche-ness and stylish is an easy one to cross - too often to the wrong side.
While perusing Jak & Jil, in awe of the fashion editors etc, i came across one of their favourites, Sarah Rutson.
Her use of scarves is amazing. While we can't all have their (close to) limitless wardrobes, she gave me something to aim for when wearing a scarf, allowing me to hope i don't look like a dufus while wearing a scarf..... we can only dream, no?

a few of my favorite looks from Milan's fashion week so far.
D&G - LOVE love love the boots, the low single button jacket, the low collar shirt. What not to love? almost nothing... well, maybe the jeans.
Dsquared2 - love the little details on the shirt, the blue socks that pops and the rolled up shorts. Rugged, yet chic.
Marni, just love the color composition and silhouette
Roberto Cavalli - still LOVING BLACK & BROWN!!!!!

I am not over the rainbow yet!
Sorry, couldn’t think of any other line… But I found this old picture of Judy Garland and feel in love all over again. I can’t even count how many times I’ve bought read shoes only because of the movie. Doesn’t help that YSL has made a pair of lovely shoes in the same ruby red… And I’m dirt poor! I hate brands that make lovely things! O well not really….

Sass & Bide
Another annoying stereotype that my generation of Australian girls is that we all love Sass and Bide. Growing up, it was the trend to have the new 5 cm Sass & Bide hipsters, but as that trend's died (thankfully), Sass& Bide's popularity hasn't.
It's not just that their designs are a bit kooky but still totally wearable, it's that their collections have stories behind them, as do the designers, Sarah Jane and Heidi.
My favourite collection by far was their "Rainbows For Kate" collection. Unlike previous seasons, these designs weren't dark and a bit dreary....but bright, beautiful and made you want to go out and party in them.
HOWEVER.
MILEY CYRUS has a bit to answer for...wearing their harlequinish singlet in her '7 things' clip. WHY????

Chanel Iman
Coco Rocha....my idol of the moment #1
Although it's so cliche to have a young supermodel as my idol, Coco is just not what you expect of normal models - highland dancing down a runway? posting videos of her & best friend behati prinsloo (VS model) miming online? not giving out her real name....?
anyhow, here's a bit.
plus, her dress for the Met Gala was different. I LOVE the gala. i know yada yada "oscars of fashion" and whatnot, but I don't look at the pics for the big name actresses - yes, i know madonna looked like a weirdo, and Blake Lively, whatev...but it's the Miranda Kerrs and Cocos that do something a bit different and make an effort....so here goes
